Job Summary
Conduct high-quality security services to protect people and property by patrolling facilities on foot or in a vehicle, monitoring closed circuit television systems and alarms, and acting as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions. Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances verbally and in writing while preserving order and enforcing site regulations for personnel, visitors, and premises. Maintain proficiency in assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons, and build effective relationships with client employees and guests. Answer phones, greet guests and employees professionally, and handle common or crisis situations calmly and efficiently. Work flexible hours across multiple clients and locations, adhering to state and local licensing requirements for Armed Security Officers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Guard License
- Current active status of all required License
- Successful completion of a background investigation
- Successful completion of a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test
- Pass a Driver's Record check
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative
- Ability to successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments
- Ability to effectively manage deadlines

- 3 years civilian law enforcement experience OR 3 years private or corporate security experience OR 3 years military experience with a positive discharge
- Criminal Justice Degree or law enforcement related degree, Associates or higher OR Graduate of a law enforcement training academy
- Ability to use both hands
- Ability to stand, sit, stoop, talk and hear
- Ability to read computer screens, correspondence and reports in English
- Ability to walk, stand, reach with both hands and arms
- Ability to drive a vehicle
- Ability to maneuver up to 40 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs
- Correctable vision to normal level
