Job Summary
Critical Facility Manager responsible for operating andMaintaining the critical facility / physical infrastructure systems in a 7x24x365 data center environment. Manages mechanical and electrical technologies (UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, CRAC units, chillers, cooling towers, CRACs, fire detection/suppression, BMS) and leads on-site technicians and subcontractors. Acts as the client liaison, establishes performance benchmarks, conducts analyses, and prepares reports on operations and maintenance. Coordinates projects with IT leaders to optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency. Develops and administers MOPs and SOPs for data center equipment, schedules activities within change control, and maintains readiness to achieve 99.999% uptime. Strong emphasis on customer relationship management, vendor supervision, and cross-functional collaboration. Military veterans with electrical/mechanical experience are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 7-15+ years of data center / critical facility operations and maintenance experience
- Solid Understanding of Critical Electrical and Mechanical / HVAC equipment (UPS, Generators, Switchgears, PDU's, CRAC Units, Chillers, etc.)
- Experience supervising or managing a technical staff (Critical facilities technicians)
- Previous experience working with the Customer a plus
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Experience working with various computer systems and applications
