Job Summary
Operate and maintain critical and non-critical equipment and systems to ensure 100% uptime, overseeing power, cooling, and environmental conditions within data halls. Manage planned and unplanned work using a CMMS, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and respond to emergencies for complete recovery. Assist with installations, adhere to change control activities, and handle external contractors while following safety laws and maintaining accurate facility data. Fulfill Service Level Agreement requirements to respond to service requests and support construction or commissioning projects as needed. This role follows a 2-2-3 rotating 12-hour shift schedule with day and night options available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Required to work nights and/or weekends, or be on-call as a regular part of the job
- Must be able to move and transport equipment weighing up to 45 lbs
- Must be able to operate tools
- Must be able to work at varying heights
- Must be able to ascend/descend ladders and stairs
- Must be able to position self in small spaces
- Must be able to move between buildings
Desired Qualifications
- Prior military or technical school training
- 2-3 years of experience working in mission critical environments
- Experience with building electrical, mechanical, BMS and fire systems
- Electrical or mechanical license (HVAC)
