Job Summary
Oversee and maintain critical data center infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems, to ensure 99.999% uptime for mission-critical servers. Monitor and respond to abnormal conditions across fire/life safety, control systems, and power distribution, while conducting inspection rounds and documenting deficiencies. Manage critical power distribution from utility/generator systems through UPS to customer load and coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure SLA compliance. Participate in after-hours on-call rotation to lead system recovery efforts and collaborate with project managers on facility improvements. This 3rd shift role requires a Journeyman Electrician or HVAC license, a Secret Security Clearance, and experience with generators, chillers, and BAS controls.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of data-center electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems
- At least three years of experience working in a data center or similar mission-critical environment
- Familiarity with generators, transformers, switchgear, UPS, ATS/STS, PDUs, CRAC/CRAH units, chilled water systems, and clean agent suppression
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA safety standards, lockout/tagout, and arc flash protection
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system diagrams
- Skilled in using critical monitoring systems, trending data, and troubleshooting industrial equipment (chillers, cooling towers, pumps, VFDs, BAS/PLC, HVAC equipment)
- Proficiency with MS Office and CMMS applications
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment (multimeter, IR camera)
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Onsite work requirement; telework is not permitted
- Valid state issued driver's license
- U.S. Citizenship and current or obtainable Secret Security Clearance
- Active State of Oklahoma (or reciprocal) Journeyman Electrician License or Journeyman HVAC Mechanical License
- High School Diploma or GED
- OSHA-10 and NFPA 70E certification during employment
- CPR/First Aid certification (depending on experience level)
