Job Summary

Critical Facilities Technician responsible for hands-on analysis, maintenance, and troubleshooting of 24x7 data center operations. Performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC components, plumbing, generator operations, fire detection and suppression, life safety, and building management/digital systems. Oversees electrical operations and energy management programs, coordinates with third-party contractors, processes work orders, and ensures compliance with Change control, SOPs, ERP procedures, and safety standards. Requires monitoring and operating critical equipment, rapid response to emergencies, and collaboration with Facility Manager/Lead CFT to order materials and finalize documentation in CMMS. Strong emphasis on reliability, safety, and continuous improvement in a high-demand data-center environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years’ experience in electrical or mechanical critical facilities support; or 7+ years’ experience as HVAC or mechanical/electrical technician
  • Electrical/Mechanical certifications preferred
  • Ability to work overtime and longer shifts (12 hour)
  • Shifts may require work day/night/weekend/holiday
  • Computer skills required: MS Office
