Job Summary

Design and engineer building automation and energy management systems based on local energy codes, project plans, and specifications. Analyze system performance at complete systems and campus levels to ensure accurate documentation, while creating programming solutions to optimize building efficiency. Build custom front ends for end-users and program complex DDC and PLC systems to meet mechanical requirements. Interface directly with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers, and develop knowledge of project financials through monthly audits and end-of-project reviews. Provide feedback on company-wide standards and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. This full-time, exempt role requires local travel up to 50 percent and worksites involving typical construction conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Exposure to electronics and basic electrical circuits
  • Experience with basic programming concepts
  • Practice working with mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of DDC (direct digital control) theory and applications
  • Local travel up to 50-percent of the time
  • Must be comfortable climbing a ladder
