Critical Facilities Mechanical SME Consultant Remote / Traveler

Critical Facilities Mechanical SME Consultant role focusing on data-center facilities strategy, master planning, and due-diligence. Responsibilities include interpreting one-line drawings of facility mechanical systems, determining loading concepts and redundancy, evaluating energy usage patterns and maintenance of large-scale cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH, chillers, boilers), assessing reliability factors and risk mitigation for mission-critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure, developing maintenance staffing plans, and presenting findings to clients from C-level to engineering teams. Required qualifications include applicable data center certifications, 10+ years of data center operations experience, a BA/BS (engineering or CS degree preferred), proficiency with mechanical one-lines and electrical grounding/NEC knowledge, IT hardware familiarity, and strong client-facing skills with up to 50% travel; candidates should reside within reasonable distance of a major airport and be able to work from home.
