Critical Facilities Manager

Job Summary
Oversees data center operations with a focus on safety, reliability, and 100% availability. Builds and manages a team of technicians and junior managers, coordinates with contractors, and serves as single point of contact for facility-related issues, including schedules, projects, budgets, and expansions. Drives continual improvements, manages power and cooling capacity and environmental conditions, resolves electrical/mechanical/fire protection issues, and maintains operating procedures and CMMS records. On-call 24x7, ensures adherence to SLAs and change control, mentors staff, and collaborates with clients to address facilities concerns and onboarding of new sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- 5-7+ years of direct management of non-exempt shift-based employees
- Experience in mission-critical environments (data center or equivalent)
- Knowledge of CMMS and preventive maintenance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop staff and manage budgets
- Ability to coordinate with customers, contractors, and other internal teams
- Understanding of power and cooling management and environmental controls
- Ability to enforce safety and regulatory compliance
- Ability to read complex drawings and documentation
