Job Summary
Critical Environments Operator II responsible for maintaining data center operations in a 24/7 environment, using CMMS to track maintenance and tickets, coordinating with contractors, handling lockout/Tagout and safety procedures, responding to alarms with priority to preserve the critical load, and performing or guiding OJT and MOP-related activities while supporting multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years working in Tier 2, Tier 3 or Tier 4 Data Center(s) or experience in operations & maintenance and/or building engineering roles
- Entry level skills in electrical, mechanical, HVAC/R disciplines
- Associate’s degree or training program in electrical or HVAC/R
- Knowledge of writing and operating MOPs (Method of Procedures)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to react to alarms and escalate issues
- Familiarity with CMMS
- Experience with subcontractor and vendor contract management
- Knowledge of ITIL framework and service level standards a plus
