Critical Environments Operating Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct daily site inspections of mechanical and engineering systems, servicing equipment and ensuring safe environmental conditions. React to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs, including HVAC-related client problems and facility faults. Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on all equipment, providing fixes for plant defects while working with third-party vendors. Complete assigned work according to established processes, including building walkthroughs and meter readings from UPS, PDU's, and utilities. Follow all safety processes and regulatory requirements, conducting routine quality checks for maintenance records. Complete required training and use defined procedures to solve straightforward problems under close supervision.
Required Qualifications
- HVAC or Electrical experience
- Trade license
- Training in a Technical discipline having served an apprenticeship or equivalent with 1-2 years of job-related experience
- Ability to complete work orders through CMMS systems
- Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays
- Must be able to Meet the physical requirements of this role
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset
- Basic math skills
- Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Trade license is preferred but not required
