Job Summary
Conduct routine assessments of building systems, monitor mechanical and electrical equipment, and perform troubleshooting and repair on single- and three-phase systems up to 480V, lighting, and motor controls within critical R&D cleanroom spaces. Read blueprints and schematics to plan work details for assembly, installation, and maintenance of electrical apparatus, while running conduit, pulling wire, and terminating circuits in compliance with NEC standards. Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on interior/exterior lighting, emergency systems, and distribution panels, complete work orders in the CMMS platform, and provide cross-trade support including light plumbing and HVAC assistance. Be part of the response team for unplanned emergencies, ensuring strict adherence to OSHA standards, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and static electricity mitigation protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Electrical License – (Journeyman or equivalent)
- 3+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
- Working knowledge of NEC requirements
- Experience troubleshooting electrical distribution systems and lighting systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
- Experience working within a CMMS-driven maintenance environment
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures
- Multi-trade maintenance experience with cross-functional facility support capabilities
- Physical ability to climb ladders
- Ability to operate scissor lifts up to 20 feet
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with motor controls and VFDs
- Understanding critical power distribution within raised floor environments
