Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and educate ECMO patients while communicating with physicians and the healthcare team to adjust treatment plans. Interpret and complete care specific to the ECMO patient care plan under a 12-hour night shift schedule, three days per week. Requires a Bachelor's degree, designated ECMO training, and relevant licenses (RN, RRT, or CCP) alongside BLS and ACLS certifications. Minimum two years of critical care experience is necessary. Methodist Dallas Medical Center operates as a Magnet-designated hospital and the only adult Level I Trauma Center in southern Dallas.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Completion of a designated ECMO training program, and/or formal education in Extra Corporeal Circulation
- Registered Nursing License issued by the State of Texas Board of Nursing
- RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist License and Current NBRC – National Board of Respiratory Care
- CCP – Certified Perfusion License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association
- Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience
