Job Summary
Develop treatment plans for ECMO patients through assessment, planning, implementation, and education while communicating with physicians and the healthcare team to interpret and adjust care. Manage critical care patients requiring Extra Corporeal Circulation support, adhering to state licensure requirements and holding certifications such as RRT, CCP, or Registered Nursing. Maintain Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support credentials while working 12-hour shifts over three days per week in a Magnet-designated hospital featuring Level I Trauma and Stroke capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Completion of a designated ECMO training program, and/or formal education in Extra Corporeal Circulation
- Registered Nursing License issued by the State of Texas Board of Nursing
- RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist License and Current NBRC – National Board of Respiratory Care
- CCP – Certified Perfusion License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association
- Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience
