Job Summary
Develop treatment plans for ECMO patients through assessment, planning, implementation, and education. Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to interpret, adjust, and complete care specific to the ECMO patient plan. Requires a Bachelor's degree, designated ECMO training, and relevant licenses (RN, RRT, or CCP) along with BLS and ACLS certification. Minimum 2 years of critical care experience needed. Work 12-hour shifts, three days per week, including night rotations. Methodist Dallas Medical Center is a Magnet-designated hospital and the only adult Level I Trauma Center in southern Dallas.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Completion of a designated ECMO training program, and/or formal education in Extra Corporeal Circulation
- Registered Nursing License issued by the State of Texas Board of Nursing
- RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist License and Current NBRC – National Board of Respiratory Care
- CCP – Certified Perfusion License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association
- Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience
