Job Summary
Provide advanced critical care nursing in a 13-bed ICU, including invasive/non-invasive ventilation, hemofiltration and cardiac pacing, while rotating through 8- to 12-hour shifts (including weekends and nights); lead and mentor the team; support education and development initiatives; act as a patient advocate and contribute to evidence-based practice within a multidisciplinary team. Key duties include planning, implementing and evaluating evidence-based nursing care, developing professional practice, and supporting change management at local and organizational levels.
Required Qualifications
- Critical Care Registered Nurse postgraduate certificate or diploma is Essential
- Be eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and hold a current Practicing Certificate
- Recent clinical experience working in ICU and/or CCU
- Demonstrate a high level of clinical assessment, reasoning and judgement
- Excellent time management and communication skills
