Critical Care Physician - High-Tech UPMC ICU, Low-Stress Living on the Shores ofLake Erie!

Intensivist needed for full-time, hospital-based critical care in UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA. Responsibilities include managing medical, cardiovascular, trauma, surgical, and neuro ICU patients within a 64-bed ICU, delivering team-based, evidence-based care, and teaching emergency medicine and neurology residents. The role emphasizes utilization of advanced technologies (point-of-care ultrasound, videolaryngoscopy, bedside bronchoscopy, prone positioning) and capabilities such as initiating ECMO with transfer to a quaternary center. Availability includes mixed shifts (15 per month) with day and night coverage. Qualifications include MD/DO, completed core residency in Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine, completed Critical Care Fellowship, American Board Eligibility or Certification in Critical Care Medicine, PA license eligibility, DEA certification, and eligibility for PA medical licensure.
