Job Summary
UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA is seeking a full-time Intensivist to join its hospital-based adult critical care practice. The role supports a 64-bed critical care tower with advanced technology and team-based care, including capability to initiate ECMO and access to prone positioning. The intensivist will care for patients across Medical, Cardiovascular, Trauma, Surgical, and Neuro ICU beds, and may teach emergency medicine and neurology residents. The department features point-of-care ultrasound, videolaryngoscopy, bedside bronchoscopy, a modern radiology suite, and opportunities for professional growth within a renowned academic health system.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Accredited Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine Residency Program completion
- Accredited Critical Care Fellowship Program completion
- Open to recent fellowship-trained physicians
- American Board Eligible or American Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and ability to obtain necessary credentials
- DEA certification
