Job Summary
UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA seeks a full-time Intensivist to join its hospital-based adult critical care practice in a 64-bed ICU with advanced technology. The role supports medical, cardiovascular, trauma, surgical, and neuro ICU beds; opportunities to teach emergency medicine and neurology residents; access to point-of-care ultrasound, videolaryngoscopy, bedside bronchoscopy, prone positioning, and potential ECMO initiation with transfer to a quaternary center. Enhanced compensation includes productivity and quality incentives, sign-on, CME stipend, and relocation benefits. Comprehensive benefits available; PSLF eligible. Requires MD/DO, completed critical care fellowship, PA license eligibility, and DEA; H-1B sponsorship is considered.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Accredited Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine Residency Program completion
- Accredited Critical Care Fellowship Program completion
- Open to recent fellowship-trained physicians
- American Board Eligible or American Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and ability to obtain necessary credentials
- DEA certification
