Job Summary
Inpatient nocturnist Critical Care Physician sought for Mercyhealth Hospital-Freeport, IL. Full-time position with 2,184 annual hours, 7 on/7 off, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. in an open 8-bed ICU, with Tele-ICU coverage and weekend/holiday requirements. Responsibilities include managing high-acuity ICU cases (post-op general surgery, mechanical ventilation, sepsis, DKA, and substance withdrawal) in collaboration with a multidisciplinary hospitalist team; potential coverage across Mercyhealth Tele sites; Epic conversion upcoming. Requires MD/DO, Board Certification or eligibility, fellowship in Critical Care or Pulmonary/Critical Care, Illinois licensure eligibility, and ability to work within an ICU-led inpatient setting. Required Qualifications
- MD/DO Board Certified or Board Eligible
