Job Summary
The Critical Care Nurse Manager oversees the ICU/unit daily operations, staffing, and adherence to standards of care to ensure high quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include managing staffing needs, interviewing/hiring/training staff, supervising patient care, maintaining unit workflow, coordinating safety procedures and department operations, addressing patient/visitor/physician concerns, and providing leadership, coaching, and collaboration with other disciplines to improve patient care delivery. Required qualifications include an RN with an associate degree or RN diploma, RN licensure in TN or a compact state, 3 years of related clinical experience, and BLS/ACLS/PALS.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required.
- 3 years of related clinical experience required.
- Prior related clinical leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
