Critical Care Nurse

Perform Apheresis procedures autonomously in critical care, emergency rooms, and outpatient centers, including plasma exchange, red cell exchange, leukapheresis, stem cell harvests, and photopheresis. Assess patient status relative to therapeutic apheresis before and during procedures, utilizing laboratory testing results and the nursing process. Act as a consultant to external healthcare personnel and coordinate closely with physicians to arrange treatments and facilitate coordinated care. Perform venipunctures, access central venous catheters, and manage supplies and equipment to maintain a clean, safe environment. Variable 1st shift Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week with rotating on-call requirements. A current state licensure as a Registered Nurse and CPR certification are required.
