Critical Care Nurse

Perform autonomous therapeutic apheresis procedures in critical care, emergency rooms, and outpatient centers, including plasma exchange, red cell exchange, leukapheresis, stem cell harvests, photopheresis, and therapeutic phlebotomies. Assess patient status relative to these treatments using the nursing process and laboratory results, while coordinating closely with physicians to arrange treatments and facilitate care. Evaluate medication compatibility for apheresis safety and act as a consultant to external healthcare personnel regarding clinical procedures. Perform venipunctures, access central venous catheters, and manage vortex and bard ports while assembling, restocking, and maintaining supplies and equipment. Work variable 1st shift Monday through Friday for 40 hours per week with rotating on-call duties. A current state RN licensure, CPR certification, and driver's license are required.
