Job Summary
Night shift full-time Pediatric Acute Care Physician Assistant with Shriners Children's Ohio. Responsible for managing hospitalized pediatric and young adult patients, including fluids, antibiotics, pain and sedation control, vasopressor medications, and basic stabilization of patients in shock or respiratory distress. Works with 24/7 Pediatric Intensivist backup and Trauma/Critical Care Burn Surgeon, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver preventive, acute, specialized, and primary care services. Average patient load 2-5 with overnight admissions averaging 1.5 patients; night and weekend coverage for admitted inpatients. Location: Dayton, Ohio (US).
Required Qualifications
- Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies
- NCCPA Board Certification
- Pediatric Acute Care Physician Assistant license/credentialing
- Pediatric patient management experience including fluids, antibiotics, pain and sedation control, vasopressor medications, basic stabilization of patients in shock or respiratory distress
- Ability to work night shifts and weekends
- Collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
