Job Summary
Night-shift, full-time Pediatric Acute Care Physician Assistant role with Shriners Children’s Ohio. The PA collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver preventive, acute, specialized, and primary care services for hospitalized pediatric and young adult patients, with an average patient load of 2-5 and average overnight admissions around 1.5. The position provides 24/7 access to a Pediatric Intensivist as backup and a Trauma/Critical Care Burn Surgeon, and involves management of fluids, antibiotics, pain and sedation control, vasopressor medications, and basic stabilization of patients in shock or respiratory distress. Requires Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and NCCPA Board Certification. Competitive pay with annual performance-based raises. Located in Dayton, Ohio; contact for more details.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies
- NCCPA Board Certification
- Pediatric acute care experience or competency
