Job Summary
Provide primary care for ER and ICU patients while expediting on other floors, assisting with patient transport, and monitoring telemetry. Serve on the rapid response and code blue team as needed. Float to other nursing units to assist as a secondary nurse. Maintain 12-hour evening and night shifts within a rotating 3x12 schedule, totaling 72-80 hours per two weeks. Arrive at the facility the Friday prior to start. Submit with a Hawaii license, 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. COVID vaccination and booster required; religious and medical declinations accepted.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Hawaii license
- COVID vaccination
- COVID booster
- ER and ICU experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- 1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
- 12-hour shifts on evenings and nights
- 72-80 hours per 2 weeks
- Holidays as required
- Floating to other nursing units not as a primary nurse
