Job Summary
Provide primary care for ER and ICU patients, expediting on other floors, assisting with patient transport, telemetry monitoring, and serving on the rapid response and code blue team as needed. This Critical Care Float Pool assignment requires 24 months of float pool experience and ER/ICU background, with floating to multiple units and potential non-primary nurse roles. Candidates must hold a Hawaii license, complete pre-employment modules, and submit COVID vaccination and booster records. The role involves 3x12s (2x12s one week, 4x12s the next), 72-80 hours per two weeks, evening and night shifts, and a 13-week contract starting July 2026. Applicants should arrive the Friday prior to the start date.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Hawaii license
- COVID vaccination
- COVID booster
- ER and ICU experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- 1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
- Must be able to float to multiple units
- Must be available for 3x12s schedule (2x12s one week and 4x12s the next week)
- Must be available for 12-hour shifts on evenings and nights
- Must be available for 72-80 hours per 2 weeks
- Must be available for holidays as required
- Must be available for 14 days maximum time off
