Job Summary
Float between ECU Medical Center, Beaufort, and Edgecombe hospitals, covering ICU and Intermediate Care units at skill levels 1:2 and 1:4 to 1:6. Perform critical care duties including NIH Stroke Scale assessments and manage patient care across these locations. Float assignments are emailed daily at 0400 or 1640. Maintain a 12-hour shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, four shifts weekly, with a maximum of five days off. This travel-only role requires a North Carolina license, 12 months of recent critical care experience, and 12 months of travel experience. Candidates must complete Relias exams within 48 hours of offer acceptance.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience worked in the last 3 years
- 12 months of travel experience
- North Carolina license or compact license
- COVID vaccination
- 12 months gap between for Staff at Program: AMN Program - ECU Health (Vidant Health) and no current placement allowed at Program: AMN Program - ECU Health (Vidant Health)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
- Relias exams that must be taken immediately (within 48hrs)
