Job Summary
Provide 12-hour day shifts in a Critical Care Float Pool covering General Cardiac, CVICU, MICU, Neuro ICU, and Surgical ICU. Manage patient populations including STEMI, respiratory failure, and post-cardiac arrest cases while performing procedures such as CRRT, vent care, hemodynamic monitoring, and medication titrations. Float to like units including MS-ICU, ER, and ICU holds. Maintain Alabama licensure and hold BLS and ACLS certifications. Travel only; must reside over 60 miles from facility. Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Alabama license or compact license
- Must be able to float to multiple units
- Must live >60 miles from facility
- 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: SimpliFi Program - Baptist Health UAB
- No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Baptist Health UAB
- First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years' experience
- Cerner or Epic experience
- CRRT preferred for Surgical ICU
- Weekend rotation: every other weekend
- May work back-to-back weekends
- No on call
- One major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy
- Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week
- May float to like units/patient locations: MS-MS, MS-ICU task, MS-ER/MS holds; ICU-ICU, ICU-MS task or limit of 3, ICU-ER/ICU holds
- 7 days maximum time off
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
