Job Summary
Conduct critical care float pool duties, rotating between ICU and PCU units as needed. Maintain 12-hour night shifts across a 3-shift weekly schedule with every-other-weekend rotation. Manage on-call responsibilities where time does not count toward the 72 biweekly contract hours. Ensure compliance with Massachusetts licensure, including a mandatory tele test on the first day. Submit all required certifications, such as ACLS and BLS, and complete pre-employment modules to expedite onboarding. This assignment requires a Massachusetts license and involves floating to additional locations, with a minimum 50-mile distance from the facility.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Experience with Epic
- ASN completion
- Massachusetts license
- 2-5 years of ICU experience
- Tele test will be administered on the first day and is pass/fail
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Must be separated from BILH for 6+ months to be considered
- Must live >50 miles from facility
- No current placement allowed at Program: Cross Country Program - Beth Israel Lahey Health
- 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Cross Country Program - Beth Israel Lahey Health
- 6 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Cross Country Program - Beth Israel Lahey Health
- 6 months gap required between for Travel at Program: Cross Country Program - Beth Israel Lahey Health
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
- Proof of identification required
