Job Summary
Float to multiple ICU units including neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, PCCU, and ED/PACU awaiting bed placement. Maintain 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 3 months in the last 12 months, ensuring travel experience and Epic proficiency. Work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts weekly, with flexible hours up to 48 per week. Adhere to a 10-day maximum time off policy while holding a New York license. No travel teams or pairs are assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Travel experience
- Experience with Epic
- New York license
- Must be comfortable and competent to care for ICU patients in neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, progressive critical care unit (PCCU), and ICU/PACU awaiting bed placement
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Albany Medical Center (AMC) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Albany Medical Center (AMC)
- 6 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: HealthTrust Program - Albany Medical Center (AMC) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Albany Medical Center (AMC)
- 10 days maximum time off
- 2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
- Proof of identification required
- Travel only, local not allowed
