Critical Care Float Pool - Travel Registered Nurse - $2590 per week.

Job Summary

Provide critical care float pool coverage across neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, and progressive critical care units, including ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement. Maintain 24 months of critical care float pool experience with 3 months in the last 12 months, including required travel experience and Epic proficiency. Work 48-hour weeks with a 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), three shifts weekly, and a maximum of 10 days off. Hold a New York license and ACLS/BLS certifications. This assignment supports the HealthTrust Program at Albany Medical Center for 13 weeks starting September 2026.

Required Qualifications

  • 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
  • 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
  • Travel experience
  • Experience with Epic
  • New York license
  • Travel only, local not allowed
  • 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Albany Medical Center (AMC) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Albany Medical Center (AMC)
  • 6 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: HealthTrust Program - Albany Medical Center (AMC) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Albany Medical Center (AMC)
  • Must be comfortable and competent to care for ICU patients in the following environments: neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, progressive critical care unit (PCCU), and ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • 2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
  • Proof of identification required

  • Trauma Level 1 experience
  • Experience floating to a variety of ICUs
