Job Summary
Conduct critical care float duties across Medical ICU, SICU, and IMC units, managing cases involving sepsis, ESRD, AKI, post-cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure. Maintain a Massachusetts license and provide 12 months of experience, with 10 months in Critical Care Float Pool within the last three years. Work flexible 36 or 48-hour weeks with a maximum of seven days off per contract. Submit proof of identification, a Charge/Lead reference from the last 12 months, and required certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. COVID vaccination is required after submission.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 10 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience worked in the last 3 years
- Massachusetts license
- COVID vaccination
- Live >90 miles from facility
- No current placement at Program: AMN Program - Baystate Health
- 1 year in a Level 1 ICU or 2 years preferred experience in a MICU setting
- Float experience does not count toward the unit experience requirement
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
- Proof of identification required
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year in a Level 1 ICU preferred
- 2 years preferred experience in a MICU setting
