Job Summary
Conduct critical care float duties across Medical ICU, SICU, and IMC units, managing cases involving sepsis, ESRD, AKI, post-cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure. Maintain Massachusetts licensure and provide 12 months of experience with 10 months in the Critical Care Float Pool within the last three years. Complete floating assignments in Medical HVCC, SICU, and IMC while adhering to a flexible 36 or 48-hour weekly schedule. Submit proof of identification, a Charge/Lead reference from the last 12 months, and required certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Live more than 90 miles from the facility for this travel-only assignment requiring COVID vaccination.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 10 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience worked in the last 3 years
- Massachusetts license
- COVID vaccination
- No current placement at Program: AMN Program - Baystate Health
- 1 year in a Level 1 ICU preferred; otherwise 2 years preferred experience in a MICU setting
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
- Proof of identification
