Job Summary
Care for ICU patients in neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, and progressive critical care units, including ED and PACU patients awaiting bed placement. Float to multiple units across Albany, NY, adhering to specific county restrictions. Maintain 24 months of critical care float pool experience with 3 months in the last 12 months, including required Epic proficiency and travel experience. Complete ACLS and BLS certifications, provide two recent manager references, and submit proof of identification. Work flexible day shifts of 12 hours, 36 or 48 hours per week, with a maximum of 10 days off. No travel teams or pairs; candidates must be comfortable working independently.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Travel experience
- Experience with Epic
- New York license
- Must be comfortable and competent to care for ICU patients in neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, progressive critical care unit (PCCU), and ICU/PACU awaiting bed placement
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Must be available for flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week
- 2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
- Proof of identification
