Job Summary
Float between neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, PCCU, and ED/PACU units, providing direct care to ICU patients across these environments. Maintain 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience, including 24 months of specific float pool experience, while demonstrating competency in managing patients awaiting bed placement. This assignment requires floating to multiple units with a 12-week duration, 48-hour flexible contract weeks, and 12-hour shifts. Candidates must hold a New York license, possess travel experience, and be proficient with Epic.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Travel experience
- Experience with Epic
- New York license
- Must be comfortable and competent to care for ICU patients in the following environments: neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, progressive critical care unit (PCCU), and ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Albany Medical Center (AMC) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Albany Medical Center (AMC)
- 6 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: HealthTrust Program - Albany Medical Center (AMC) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Albany Medical Center (AMC)
- Must be comfortable and competent to care for ICU patients in the following environments: neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, progressive critical care unit (PCCU), and ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
