Job Summary
Provide critical care float coverage across neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, PCCU, and ED/PACU units. Maintain 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience, including 3 months in the last 12 months, while floating to multiple units within New York. Manage care for ICU patients and those awaiting bed placement, ensuring competency in all specified environments. This assignment requires a New York license, Epic proficiency, and travel experience, with a preference for Trauma Level 1 background. Candidates must have a 12-month gap from the HealthTrust Program at Albany Medical Center and provide two recent manager references.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Travel experience
- Experience with Epic
- New York license
- Must be comfortable and competent to care for ICU patients in the following environments: neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, progressive critical care unit (PCCU), and ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Albany Medical Center (AMC) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Albany Medical Center (AMC)
- 6 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: HealthTrust Program - Albany Medical Center (AMC) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Albany Medical Center (AMC)
- Must be available for travel only, local not allowed
- Candidates cannot live in Albany County, NY, USA; Columbia County, NY, USA; Dutchess County, NY, USA; Fulton County, NY, USA; Greene County, NY; Montgomery County, NY, USA; Rensselaer County, NY, USA; Saratoga, NY, USA; Schenectady County, NY, USA; Ulster County, NY, USA; Warren County, NY, USA; Washington County, NY
