Job Summary
Conduct rotating AM/PM shifts across Medical, Surgical/Trauma, Cardiac, and Neuro ICUs while floating to stepdown or telemetry units based on operational need. Provide critical care support in a pool covering pulmonary, renal, sepsis, ECMO, and transplant patients, including roles as a nursing assistant or safety sitter when required. Maintain a 12-hour shift schedule with three shifts weekly, working holidays as needed, with a maximum of zero days time off. Complete mandatory EKG exam with 80% or better score during orientation and submit proof of Hawaii license, identification, and COVID vaccination status. Submit two charge/lead references from the last two years and upload all certifications to expedite onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 36 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- 36 months of Trauma Level 1 facility experience
- Hawaii license
- COVID vaccination
- COVID booster
- Three (3) or more years ICU Staff RN experience excluding travel assignments in large tertiary/quaternary, Level 1 trauma centers
- Must pass EKG exam with a score of 80% or better during orientation
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
- ATCN (Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses Certification)
- Proof of identification
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years
