Job Summary
Conduct rotating AM/PM 12-hour shifts across Medical, Surgical/Trauma, Cardiac, and Neuro ICUs, including float to stepdown or telemetry units. Provide critical care support in pulmonary, renal, sepsis, ECMO, and transplant environments while maintaining a maximum of zero days time off. Pass EKG exam with 80% or better during orientation and adhere to strict scheduling with holidays as required. Submit to Hawaii licensure, complete COVID vaccination and booster requirements, and provide two charge/lead references from the last two years.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 36 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- 36 months of Trauma Level 1 facility experience
- Hawaii license
- COVID vaccination
- COVID booster
- Three (3) or more years ICU Staff RN experience excluding travel assignments in large tertiary/quaternary, Level 1 trauma centers
- Must pass EKG exam with a score of 80% or better during orientation
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
- ATCN (Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses Certification)
- Proof of identification
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years
- Local & travel allowed
- Rotating (AM/PM) shifts
- Holidays as required
- 0 days maximum time off
- Floating to other nursing units based on operational need, including stepdown or telemetry
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Epic
- BSN completion
- Experience in mixed Medical/Surgical ICU and/or specialty ICUs
- Experience in CRRT
- Previous ICU Float Pool experience
- Previous Queen's Health System ICU traveler experience
- Prefer talent without RTO; however, limited RTO will be approved after 30 days on assignment
