Job Summary
Cover rotating AM/PM shifts in a Critical Care Float Pool across Medical, Surgical/Trauma, Cardiac, and Neuro units at Queen's Health System. Provide direct patient care while floating to stepdown, telemetry, or similar RN units based on operational need. Maintain a 12-hour shift schedule with three shifts per week, including holidays as required, with no more than zero days of time off. Pass an EKG exam with a score of 80% or better during orientation. This assignment includes a 16-week contract starting August 2026, offering $2370 per week for a registered nurse with a Hawaii license and 36 months of Level 1 trauma facility experience.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 36 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- 36 months of Trauma Level 1 facility experience
- Hawaii license
- COVID vaccination
- COVID booster
- Three (3) or more years ICU Staff RN experience excluding travel assignments in large tertiary/quaternary, Level 1 trauma centers
- Must pass EKG exam with a score of 80% or better during orientation
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
- ATCN (Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses Certification)
- Proof of identification
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years
- Local & travel allowed
- Rotating (AM/PM) shifts
- Holidays as required

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Epic
- BSN completion
- Experience in mixed Medical/Surgical ICU and/or specialty ICUs
- Experience in CRRT
- Previous ICU Float Pool experience
- Previous Queen's Health System ICU traveler experience
