Job Summary
Conduct night critical care float pool duties from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, covering ICU, step-down, IMCU, and ED units with potential assignments to Women's and Family services. Maintain a 1/3 nurse-to-patient ratio across three shifts per week for a 13-week contract starting September 2026, with a maximum of five days of remote time off. Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania licensure requirements and submit BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications to expedite onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience
- 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 12 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience worked in the last 18 months
- Travel experience is preferred
- Experience with Epic is required within the last 6 months
- BSN completion required
- Pennsylvania license or compact license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course)
- Registered license type
- PA license state
- 1 reference from most recent employment
- 2 Manager/Supervisor references from within the last 12 months
- Proof of identification
- 5 days maximum time off
- Available for days surrounding holidays
- Available for days surrounding 1-2 holidays
- ICU RNs will float to all ICUs, step-down units, IMCU, and ED for ICU holds/borders
- May float to Women's and Family if needed
- Orientation for Women's and Family units
- Knowledge of preeclampsia and eclampsia
- Knowledge of hypertensive moms
- Knowledge of hyperemesis
- Knowledge of postpartum hemorrhage
- Available for mid-shift pulls to float to any unit or hospital
- Contract length of 13 weeks
- Night shift type
- 12 hours per shift
- 3 shifts per week
