Critical Care Float Pool - Travel Registered Nurse - $2270 per week.

Job Summary

Float to Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn, Trauma, and IMC/Progressive units as needed within a critical care float pool. Provide care to adult and geriatric populations while managing basic arrhythmias and CRRT-Nextstage procedures. Maintain 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) with an every-other-weekend rotation and some holidays. Complete labs within 48 hours of signing and provide a Charge/Lead reference from the last 12 months. This 13-week travel assignment begins September 14, 2026, with a maximum of 14 days time off. Candidates must hold a Wisconsin license, possess 60 months of float pool experience in the last three years, and demonstrate trauma Level 1 and Epic proficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
  • 60 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience worked in the last 3 years
  • Travel experience
  • Experience with Epic
  • Trauma Level 1 experience
  • Wisconsin license or compact license
  • Experience with multiple ICU units, including Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU, Trauma Surgery, and IMC/Progressive/General care populations
  • Basic arrhythmia experience
  • CRRT-Nextstage experience
  • Previous Charge Experience
  • Teaching hospital experience
  • You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
  • Proof of identification required
  • Travel only, local not allowed
  • Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted
  • 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Wisconsin Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Wisconsin Health
  • Every other weekend rotation and some holidays
  • 14 days maximum time off

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous Charge Experience: Preferred
  • Teaching hospital experience is preferred
