Job Summary
Titrates sedation, vasoactive medications, and paralytics in ED, critical care, and PCU units while managing telemetry, vents, CPAP, and BiPAP. Floats to ICU, ED boarders, all MedSurg units, and the Observation unit with 1:1 to 1:6 patient ratios depending on acuity. Requires two years of ICU experience and competency in Swans, IABP, and Impella. Works night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three shifts weekly, with potential overtime and every-other-weekend rotation. Includes holidays and no-call status. Auto-offer position with no interview; references must be from the same specialty, and a driver's license is required.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years
- Washington license or compact license
- COVID vaccination
- 12 months gap between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (WA) CommonSpirit Health
- 12 months gap between for Part-Time at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (WA) CommonSpirit Health
- 12 months gap between for Per Diem at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (WA) CommonSpirit Health
- Must be able to read telemetry strips
- Two years of ICU experience
- Ability to take Swans, IABP, and Impella
- Ability to float to MedSurg to take a full assignment
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Driver's license
- Religious and medical declinations accepted for COVID vaccination
