Job Summary
Conduct critical care float pool nursing across Critical Care, Observation, Med Surg, and surgical units including Neuro, Cardiac, Ortho, Thoracic, Oncology, Telemetry, and Progressive Care. Titrate drips such as Epi, Norepi, and Propofol; manage ventilators, high flow, BiPAP, and CPAP; and read monitor strips. Work night shifts in 12-hour blocks with three weekend shifts per schedule, holidays as required, and no call. Maintain a Washington license, hold BLS and ACLS certifications, and provide at least one reference from the same specialty. Apply directly to jobs without recruiters to streamline the experience.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years
- Experience with Epic
- Washington license or compact license
- COVID vaccination

- Prior floating experience (float pool shifts, other facilities, and/or floating to other floors/units)
- High-acuity experience
- Titration of drips (Epi, Norepi, Dobutamine, Propofol, Esmolol, Hydromorphone, Midazolam, and CIS)
- Use of vents, high flow, BiPAP, CPAP, Phillips monitors, and Cerner
- At least 1 monitor tech; RNs read strips
- Floats within Critical Care Unit, Observation, Med Surg, General Surgery, Ortho Surgery, Short Stay Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Telemetry, and Progressive Care
- Driver's license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
- 3 weekend shifts per schedule
- Holidays as required
- Self-scheduling available
