Job Summary
Conduct night shift coverage (3x12s, every other weekend) in a Critical Care Float Pool, managing acute cardiology and heart failure patients on inotropic support and temporary ventricular devices. Utilize advanced hemodynamic support technologies including Impellas, IABPs, ECMO, and ventricular assist devices while floating across MICU, SICU, and CVICU units. Provide pre-operative and post-operative recovery support for cardiovascular procedures, including open heart surgery and heart transplants. Maintain Ohio or compact licensure and demonstrate 10 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with Epic proficiency. Work nights and weekends with a maximum of 14 days time off for an 8-week travel contract.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 10 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Experience with Epic
- Diploma completion
- Ohio license or compact license
- Diploma of Nursing
- ICU float pool (MICU/SICU/CVICU)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Proof of identification
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years
