Job Summary
Float between SICU, MICU, OICU, CCU, and CVT units while managing adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with sepsis, trauma, neuro, and cardiac conditions. Provide critical care support for patients requiring DKA, ETOH withdrawal, and increased monitoring, adhering to 1:2 or 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratios. Maintain 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) with every-other-weekend rotation and potential holiday coverage. Hold a Virginia or compact license, 18 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience, and proficiency with Oasis and Epic systems. Complete pre-employment modules and provide a charge/lead reference.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 18 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience worked in the last 12 months
- Experience with Oasis
- Experience with Epic within the last 12 months
- Virginia license or compact license
- 2 years experience
- Riverside Regional Medical Center does not accept license hits
- iCare experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- Licensed as a registered nurse
- License in Virginia
- Charge/Lead reference
- Proof of identification
- Available for every other weekend including Saturday and Sunday
- Available to work holidays if they occur during the assignment period
- Available for 7 days maximum time off
- Available to float within the complex to SICU, MICU, OICU, CCU, and CVT
- Available to be pulled to ED to take an appropriate assignment
- Available to be pulled to MS or ED to task
