Job Summary
Conduct critical care float pool duties across adolescent, adult, geriatric, surgical, medical, cardiac, and oncology ICU units, including ED and MS assignments. Manage patient populations with complex comorbidities, trauma, neuro conditions, and post-surgical cases while maintaining 1:2 to 1:4 patient ratios. Operate within a complex float pool environment requiring rotation between SICU, MICU, OICU, CCU, and CVT, with potential pulls to ED for appropriate assignments. Maintain a Virginia license, 24 months of critical care float experience, and proficiency in Epic and iCare systems. Work night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) every other weekend for 13 weeks with flexible scheduling, adhering to a 7-day maximum time off limit.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with any experience within the last 12 months
- Experience with Epic within the last 12 months
- Virginia license or compact license
- Previous Charge Experience
- iCare experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- Flexible scheduling
- Every other weekend including Saturday and Sunday
- Holiday work
- Floating to additional units and locations
- Local & travel allowed
