Job Summary
Conduct critical care float pool duties across adolescent, adult, geriatric, and specialized surgical/medical/cardiac/oncology ICU units at Riverside Regional Medical Center. Manage patient populations with sepsis, trauma, DKA, neuro, and cardiac procedures while adhering to unit-specific nurse-to-patient ratios. Float within the complex to SICU, MICU, OICU, CCU, and CVT, with potential pull to ED or MS for appropriate assignments. Work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) every other weekend, including holidays, with a maximum of seven days off. Maintain BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications and navigate Epic and Oasis systems.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 18 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience worked in the last 12 months
- Experience with Oasis
- Experience with Epic within the last 12 months
- Virginia license or compact license
- 2 years experience
- Riverside Regional Medical Center does not accept license hits
- iCare experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- Charge/Lead reference
- Proof of identification
