Job Summary
Float to multiple units within the OSU organization including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, and SICU/MICU/NCCU based on staffing and patient acuity. Manage adult patients with kidney, liver, lung, and heart transplant conditions while performing IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management. Maintain 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) every other weekend for a 17-week contract. Submit lab results within 48 hours of signing and provide 1 charge/lead and 1 manager reference from the last 2 years.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 22 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Experience with Epic
- Ohio license or compact license
- Flu vaccination
- 6 months gap between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
- no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
- Teaching hospital experience
- IV Start
- Telemetry
- Ventilator management experience
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- Registered license type
- OH license state
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
- 1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
- Proof of identification
- Every other weekend
- 14 days maximum time off
- Start assignment restriction: 7 days
