Job Summary
Oversee critical care float pool duties across Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, and SICU/MICU/NCCU units within the OSU organization, adjusting assignments based on staffing and patient acuity. Manage adult patients, including those with kidney, liver, lung, and heart transplant needs, while performing IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management. Maintain Ohio licensure, complete required pre-employment modules, and submit labs within 48 hours of signing. Work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend, with a maximum 14-day time-off limit and a 17-week contract starting October 2026.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 22 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Experience with Epic
- Ohio license or compact license
- Flu vaccination
- 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
- no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
- Teaching hospital experience
- IV Start
- Telemetry
- Ventilator management experience
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years
- You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
- 1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
- Proof of identification required
