Job Summary
Float between Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, and SICU/MICU/NCCU within the OSU organization based on staffing and patient acuity. Manage ventilator patients, perform IV starts, and oversee telemetry care for adult populations including kidney, liver, lung, and heart transplant recipients. Maintain Ohio licensure, complete required pre-employment modules, and submit lab documentation within 48 hours of signing. This night shift assignment includes every other weekend rotation with a maximum of 14 days time off.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 22 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Experience with Epic
- Ohio license or compact license
- Flu vaccination
- 6 months gap between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
- no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
- Teaching hospital experience
- IV Start
- Telemetry
- Ventilator management experience
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years
- You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
- 1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
- Proof of identification
